       Eight months of painstaking negotiation, the detailed issues have been thoroughly discussed, and all the contract disputes have been settled. However the investor chickened out at the last minute, leaving a Maybe hanging in the air.

    Eight months of hard work went into vain and the expected commission was hovering over an upsetting zero. What could I say? Did I expect too much? Under such glooming economic situation, perhaps I should never dung to that agonizing hope and just be content with the fact that I still have my paycheck coming at the next month.

       It never rains but it pours. Thanks to the tight cash-flow situation, year-end bonus in my husband company has been postponed. We all know what it means. If things didn’t get better, we will have serious problem to deal with in the coming year. Holy hell, I cursed, struggling to master the unnecessary surge of uneasiness. Afterall, I really have not much to complain. We paid off our housing loan and no longer lived in debt;  we make enough money for a, if not luxurious but at least comfortable life; our account balance still remain a healthy figure; and most importantly, so far we can still hold our jobs. However it is just not enough to secure a future.
